Learn how iCraft deployed a satellite office in New Delhi with the help of SecondOffice in just 4 months.
The objectives
The challenges
The solution
iCraft is a company specializing in IT that provides ubiquitous networks worldwide. They deal in internet core networks, new authentication, BCN transmission solution, server, storage, security solution, network consulting, and maintenance.
With McKinley Rice’s SecondOffice, they were able to deploy a
satellite office for iCraft within a span of 4 months. The office was
quickly deployed in the capital of India, New Delhi, and everything from
recruitment to payroll, office administration to HR-related work were
taken care of swiftly. The goal was to hire blockchain experts and
frontend developers to build their own decentralized app and blockchain
network minus the recruitment issues (total costs, total time to hire)
faced in Korea.
The outcome
Mr.Yohan Seo is an instrumental member of the team as he handpicked the
entire global team of grade-A Indian and Korean engineers. He worked
closely with McKinley Rice’s recruitment team to find the team
leaders for iCraft’s Blockchain projects. With Mr. Seo’s
help, iCraft recruited brilliant Ph.D. researchers who have become key
players in the team.
Creating a bidirectionally connected advertisement platform
DonBangSeok is a decentralized application (DApp); in which several modules have an associated smart contract on the blockchain. All the critical interactions of the users with the dApp modules are stored in the blockchain, providing complete transparency and immutability.
This project was decided to be deployed on the latest high-speed and low transaction fees blockchain networks like Polygon or Binance. Here, advertisers can create and publish product-related advertisements through videos, banners, quizzes, and games. But having no control over these networks posed a big challenge, so to solve this problem, the team is also building an advertisement-oriented network called ADchain, similar to other blockchain networks.
The company has a backend team, but iCraft required frontend and Blockchain experts to deploy these projects successfully. They had a budget for the project and a budget for the team, so they needed people who could maintain quality at a reasonable cost. That is when SecondOffice came into the picture.
A team of ingenious engineers to convert their plan into reality
To deploy these projects, the biggest challenge was hiring a team of competent engineers. Finding those employees in South Korea is quite difficult and costly as a country with a population just above 50 million can only produce a limited number of engineers. To overcome this challenge, the experts from SecondOffice recommended looking at India, the potential superpower of the world.
To outcompete competitors and to ensure the timely delivery of projects, Indian engineers can be trusted as they are already banked upon by all big organizations, including but not limited to MAANG companies (Meta, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Google). With the assistance of SecondOffice, iCraft successfully hired 7 talented individuals, 3 developers, 2 blockchain researchers, 1 designer, and 1 program manager.
With a combined effort of these engineers and teams from South Korea, the pilot phase of DonBangSeok was released in April 2022, and the commercial phase is all set to release by the middle of September. The second project, called ADchain, is also halfway through, and DonBangSeok can be deployed on ADchain by the third quarter of 2023.
Words of appreciation from Yohan Seo, Managing Director of iCraft
“McKinley Rice was an essential help to us as they set up our very own Indian Development Center. We had been trying to build our very own Blockchain networks for years now but never had the right resources. With McKinley Rice taking over the entire process, from recruiting to HR management, we were able to directly hire elite employees in India, creating our very own elite global team”.
